Core Learning Resources was established in 1996 providing top quality early reading materials to educators. Peggy Woodruff, a former teacher, has thrived in the educational publishing industry since 1991. In 2001, the focus of Core Learning Resources changed to offer only First Nations/Aboriginal books to the school market, after educators had challenged Peggy to find excellent resources with First Nations/Aboriginal content and authorship. Over the years, the materials available have become better, more comprehensive with greater depth and breadth. Core Learning Resources continues to seek out the highest quality materials and appreciates any input regarding new books or games suitable for the school market. Prices are generally discounted for the school market, but the school price is available to all customers
